2012-09-17 - Identified through online information from T. Daniel Hancock. -- Ogasapian, 1977, reports that this was one of two two-manual, 28-register, 30-note pedalboard organs which Erben installed in Lewiston in 1870. The other was in St. John Roman Catholic Church. This organ, for First Baptist, had a black walnut case, and cost $6,000. -Database Manager

2022-09-09 - **From the *1992 OHS Handbook*:** In 1870, First Baptist moved to a handsome new brick church on Bates Street, complete with a new organ from the manufactory of Henry Erben, and sold their old building lo a group of Methodists who had broken off from the Park Street Methodist Church. -Paul R.
