2004-10-30 - Altered Homer Blanchard and possibly someone else. Pipework was intact in 1965-66, but some pipes had been shifted to higher pitches. In January 1966 the church was carpeted, and the windchests were badly cracked while the church was being heated for this work. Around 1970 Homer Blanchard restored the specification of the organ, and replaced some of the original Hook & Hastings pipework, including the very fine Oboe, which Mark Brombaugh had cleaned in 1966. The "restoration" changed the original character of the organ. (Information from Mark Brombaugh in 1996.) -Database Manager

2007-08-21 - Updated through on-line information from Leek Pipe Organ Company. -- Our firm has performed restorative work on the instrument and perform tuning and maintenance on an annual basis. In 1975, a new Meidinger blower motor was installed and blower box was restored. Additionally, the pedal pallets were re-leathered. In 1992, The manual pallets were re-leathered and restoration was performed to the Swell and Great chests. The instrument was completely cleaned at that point, pipes included. The facade Principal was relacquered with a gold bronze finish and stoppers were replaced on the Stopped Diapason 8'. New leather nuts were installed on the couplers and trackers and the keyboard was regulated. -Database Manager
