2012-09-27 - Identified through online information from T. Daniel Hancock. -- Owen, 1979, reports that this was one of two very similar two-manual organs built for Charlestown churches in 1833: both included an extra reed and mixture than he typically provided, both had an Double (presumably "Open") Diapason 16' in the pedal, and both had a Swell compass which extended beyond the typical tenor G or F. This was also Goodrich's last instrument; in fact, he died before it could be finished. His peer, Appleton, completed the tonal finishing and tuning. -Database Manager
