[p. 34, under the year 1984] "The Organ Committee, which was formed in early February, recommended in June, after much exploration, that a rebuilt pipe organ be purchased from the Wicks Organ Company. The congregation voted favorably."<br><br>From the dedication recital program bulletin: "The seventeen rank pipe organ was originally built as a fifteen rank organ for the University of Illinois. The organ was sold back to the Wicks Pipe Organ Company by the university. The organ was rebuilt by the Wicks company, some ranks were removed and other ranks were added. The organ was redesigned to fit and complement the balcony of the church. .. Special casework, designed by local architect Mr. Phil Uhl, was built around the organ cabinets to enable the organ to fit with and complement the architecture of the sanctuary. All pipes around this casework are speaking pipes. The organ was purchased and completely paid for from the memorial funds of the church. Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Eadler started the organ fund about ten years ago. Over the years memorial contributions have been given to the fund in memory of many deceased members and friends of the congregation."<br><br>The Memorial Pipe Organ was dedicated on Sunday, 22 September 1985, with the dedicatory concert performed by Robert A.
