2013-02-18 - Updated through online information from Chas. "James" C. Roach. -- This instrument was removed from the residence of Mark Henderson in Memphis, TN - October, 2012. He obtained from storage through an unidentified funeral home in Madison, WI. Prior to that, it is unknown if the instrument was installed elsewhere.
The current installation was supervised by James Roach (the owner) and engineered by by Duane Austin and Robert McCoy under the conceptual direction of Gary Hanson, owner of Organ Piper Pizza, Greenfield, WI. It was re-wired by Joe Poland, Service Manager of Berghaus Pipe Organ Co., Bellwood, IL.
The previous owner, Mark Henderson replaced the original player with an 88 note player and fashioned the instrument to play MIDI files from an SD card interface. Both of these modification are fully functional and yield satisfactory results. The original 3 ranks have been maintained with integrity to produce a sound in keeping with the this American instrument built by mostly European artisans working for the Wangerin Pipe Organ Co. of Milwaukee WI. I am fortunate to have several of the original player rolls produced by Wangerin and their affiliates. -Database Manager
