Notes

2013-01-21 - This entry describes an original installation of a new pipe organ. Identified by William Dunklin, based on information learned in a discussion on Facebook regarding Trinity Lutheran, Blue Hill, Nebraska. -- -Database Manager

2018-06-25 - Updated by Shelby Lewis, listing conversations with this person as the source of the information: Dr. Louie Eckhardt.<br> June 24th, 2018. I received a text message from my good friend, Dr. Louie Eckhardt (Trumpet Professor at Hastings College), with a photograph of the organ's facade. He had been hired to play trumpet at the church and knew I would find the facade interesting. As of this entry, he mentioned that the organ was in playing condition and used regularly. He lamented that it was playing about 20 cents flat. He had not taken a picture of the builder's nameplate, but remembered that is was from St. Louis. An internet search brought up an article that stated that the organ was installed and dedicated in 1909 by Kilgen (not specific): http://www.hastingstribune.com/news/zion-wanda-aging-with-grace/article_ca32946c-75ca-11e8-b89f-0ff7acc1b888.html -Database Manager
