2013-02-23 - This entry describes an original installation of a new pipe organ. Identified by James R. Stettner, using information found in Printed church history. -- According to the church history, "In 1943, pledges were taken for a fund for the purpose of obtaining a pipe organ. In 1946, a pipe organ was built and installed by the Guenther Organ Co. of Portland, OR. An 8' Viol d'Orchestre was added as a gift from a parishioner in 1957. In 1968, another set of pipes was added - also as a gift from a parishioner. The organ was replaced with a new Balcom and Vaughan pipe organ in 1980, but the console shell & bench, and eight ranks were retained for the new organ. -Database Manager
