2013-04-03 - This entry describes an original installation of a new pipe organ. Identified by steve bartley, based on information from Pratt Library Mirofilm. -- St. Paul's burned in 1854, including the previous organ. Sun Paper 1/10/1856 pg1 announcing the consecration of the rebuilt church and states that "the beautiful organ constructed by Mr. Hall of New York was performed upon...." The Sun Paper 1/11/1856 pg1 Describes the rebuilt church, and mentions that the organ was installed in the front of the church on the north side. Part of the case and facade of this organ remains. -Database Manager
