2013-04-28 - Identified through online information from Kyle Johnson. -- Rebuild with additions to existing Steiner-Reck organ of 1991: -- We undertook a judicious renovation of this instrument in 2012. This is a summary of the work done by R.M. Ballantyne Pipe Organs:
* The failing lighted push button stop system and stop jambs were replaced with custom traditional style jambs with new Harris Precision Products draw knobs.
* The outdated and failing combination action was replaced with a Peterson system. This provided for 128 memory levels, and a piston sequencer. Piston rails and pedal piston were changed to allow for 10 general pistons and Next and Previous pistons/studs.
* Only judicious, corrective voicing was undertaken for regulation only.
* The following stops were added: Pedal 32' Resultant (taken from Pedal Principal), unification of the Solo Trumpet in the Pedal at 4', a Tremulant for the Great (prepared), the Pedal Principal unit rank was brought into the Great manual (with additional needed pipes on their own new chest) as "16' Ped Principal" and "8' Ped Open Diapason", and two blank draw knobs in each division allowing for future additions.
* A wind leak was repaired between the Great main chest and its attached main regulator.
* A missing walkboard was replaced.
* Dents in the Pedal 8' Bourdon were repaired, and the stop was refelted as needed.
* Sky racking was improved. Also note that the dedication programs lists the number of ranks as 39. This number is derived from including the lowest Roman numeral numbers from the Mixture stops. The number of 42 ranks included in this database entry is derived by including the highest Roman numeral numbers from the Mixture stops. -Database Manager
