2013-05-10 - This entry describes an original installation of a new pipe organ. Identified by James R. Stettner, based on information from Personal research into the history of organs in Lawrence, Massachusetts. -- This building was originally built as Central Congregational Church. In 1883, Central merged with Eliot Congregational at Central's edifice, but after some building renovations. The Hutchings was free-standing and encased at the front of the room. The facade was 5-sectional having 3 flats separated by two tower of 3 pipes each. The organ is recorded as having 25 stops, and 30 registers. -Database Manager
