2013-05-30 - Organ relocated without any change. Identified by Paul Dessau, based on personal knowledge of the organ. -- This is Jack Bethards- response to my inquiry on this organ <br>"From old Schoenstein files -- The organ is two manuals and pedal, eleven ranks. It was moved by our (Schoenstein) firm to Sacred Heart in 1932 from a residence in San Mateo. We think that was its second home, but are not sure. It was installed without any casework. It employs California redwood in chests as well as pipes and other components. We think the organ is a Johnston, but it could possibly have been made under the later managements: California Organ Company or Robert-Morton Organ Company. It is a very nice instrument and was essentially original when we last saw it. I have no idea about its present state. We (Schoenstein) did some restoration work many years ago." -Database Manager
