2013-06-14 - This entry describes an original installation of a new pipe organ. Identified by John Lanier, using information found in factory stoplist. -- Instrument is located in chambers to either side of the chancel; Swell in one chamber and Great and Pedal in the other. Entire organ is under expression. Direct-electric action for both organ and console. Console was originally stop-key type but was replaced in 1989 with a new console with stop-knobs located on stop-jambs to either side of the key-desk. The architect for this building was not notified that a pipe organ had been purchased and designed the chambers for electronic speakers. The installation took some additional time due to the fact that most of the pipes had to be mitred to fit into the chambers. -Database Manager
