Notes

2013-06-16 - This entry describes an original installation of a new pipe organ. Identified by John Speller, using information found in Roosevelt Opus List, May 1890. -- This would appear only to have been in the church (now the cathedral) for 8 years since there is a listing for this church for another 2-manual instrument -- Hook, Hastings & Co., Op. 1703, 1896 -- unless there was more than one instrument in the building. -Database Manager

2021-02-20 - This Roosevelt either replaced or was a rebuild of Hook & Hastings Opus 1128, which might itself have been a reworking of Hook & Hastings Opus 798. This building was dismantled and re-erected as the Church of the Messiah on East Grand Boulevard at Lafayette. This organ does not appear to be in that church. -William M. Worden
