2013-07-08 - Organ relocated without any change. Identified by James R. Stettner, using information from this web site: http://www.pstos.org/instruments/wa/seattle/icearena-rink.htm. -- According to the Puget Sound Theatre Organ Society website, "According to Kurt Armbruster, '...the pipes were housed in a large, shuttered box in the southeast corner of the interior, while the organ console was in a booth hung on the south wall, over the roll-up door. The booth, originally decorated in ornate 1940s style, was "modernized" in 1962 for the World's Fair.' The organ was used daily until remodeling in 1963 (following the Seattle World's Fair) required its removal. According to Glenn White, the contractor was going to trash the organ when they remodeled the Arena. Fortunately, White and his fellow sound engineers removed the instrument to storage. In 1964-65, the organ was re-installed at the Seattle Center Food Circus." -Database Manager

2019-02-10 - Updated by Eric Schmiedeberg, naming this as the source of information: Wurlitzer Installation List--Judd Walton--1972/Chamber wall inscription--Capitol Theatre--Salem, Oregon.

It is my understanding that the Piano originally incorporated into this instrument did not end up in this subsequent installation. Also, according to the chamber wall inscription made by Balcom and Vaughan Organ Co., the Capitol Theatre Wurlitzer was removed in September of 1941. -Database Manager
