2022-10-20 - With grants from the Presser Foundation, the Dorothy Maynard Smith estate, the Old Swedes' Church Preservation Fund, the Elizabeth Ellis Foundation, the Swedish Council of America, and other funds, the Hook & Hastings was rebuilt by R. J. Brunner & Co. in 1993-1994. In addition to a complete mechanical renovation and thorough cleaning, the work included tonal additions. A Mixture was added to the Great; a Piccolo 2' was added to the Swell, as were reeds at 16' and 4'; the Swell Bourdon 16' and (new) Bassoon 16', on electro-pneumatic action, are also available in the Pedal. An Aeoline 8' in the Swell was removed, and the Swell Stopped Diapason 8' and the Great Melodia 8' switched places; other than those changes, the tonal scheme is original. An electric stop action was added to the original mechanical stop action, with an electronic combination action of eight levels of memory. -- *1996 OHS Handbook* -Paul R. Marchesano
