2019-04-07 - Updated by Scot Huntington

The contract was signed for a one-manual organ in 1839 but had been expanded to two manuals once installed in 1840. The organ was purchased by Strong\'s father for his teen-aged son. It was enlarged to 3-manuals post-1850 when it was moved into Strong\'s Gramercy Park. Subsequent history is vague, but it ended up at First Reformed Church in Saugerties, NY and early [perhaps as early as 1861 and in the early 20th-century to the Reformed Church in Katsbaan, NY, where it exists having restored to original condition by Richard Hamar 2005- 2015. -Database Manager
