2013-08-21 - This entry describes an original installation of a new pipe organ. Identified by T. Daniel Hancock, using information found in <em>The Tracker</em>, Vol. 57, No. 3 [Summer 2013]. -- Installed in French Baroque Revival mansion, "Rosecliff," which was designed by Stanford White of McKim, Mead & White. The organ remained in the residence until the family sold the house in 1941, and the house and contents were auctioned off. "The organ, bench, and a 'chest of records' (roll cabinet) were sold for $1,700." This description summarized from Rollin Smith's "Endnotes." -Database Manager
