Notes

2013-12-04 - This entry describes an original installation of a new pipe organ. Identified by William Dunklin, using information found in David Junchen's The Wurlitzer Pipe Organ, an Illustrated History, p. 647. -- Style 109 Special. A standard Style 109 consisted of 3 pipes ranks: Flute, Salicional and Vox Humana. It was also equipped with a piano, xylophone, glockenspiel, chimes and a "toy counter" for sound effects. The straight rail (not a horseshoe) console would have had an 85 note lower manual and a 61 note upper manual and a 32 note pedal board. "Special" indicates something was customized but the surviving records do not what was added or deleted for this particular installation. -Database Manager
