2014-01-30 - This is a rebuild of an existing organ.
Identified by Rodney J. Weed, based on personal knowledge of the organ.
-- This organ began as a rebuild of a Wangerin Organ from around the 1920's. The organ as it stands now is made up of some ranks of pipes from the Church's original Wangerin, There are some ranks of pipes from the 1964 MP Moller organ opus 9874 from St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Bloomington, IL OHS ID 38295 which had been removed and replaced by a new Berghaus organ. Then there are several new ranks of pipes put in by Berghaus. The new console replacing the original Wangerin console is the rebuilt Moller console opus 9874 from St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Bloomington, IL. Berghaus did an excellent job on this rebuild. It is visually attractive, and the console has a built in transposer. It is MIDI ready and has multi level memories for the combination action. It is a very nice sounding instrument and comfortable to play. -Database Manager
2014-02-07 - Updated through online information from Rodney J. Weed. -- This organ started out as a rebuild of St. Paul's 1920's Wangerin organ. However, after Berghaus Organ company located this Moller organ opus 9874 for relocation and rebuilding, it became the foundation for this organ and only one or two ranks of pipes were used from the church's 1920's Wangerin. This Moller came from St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Bloomington, IL where Berghaus Organ Company was installing a new organ. -Database Manager
