Notes

2014-02-08 - This is a rebuild of an existing organ. Identified by James R. Stettner, based on personal knowledge of the organ. -- This was a project of enlargement and mechanical upgrades. 15 new Kilgen-style E-P unit chests were built replacing all of the 1916 Kimball chests except for the Pedal windchests. Almost all of the existing Kimball and other added pipework was retained - either in original or rescaled/altered form. A new solid state combination action was installed in he 1959 console, and solid state relay switching replaced all existing electro-mechanical and/or electro-pneumatic functions. The organ was prepared for an additional 9 ranks. -Database Manager

NOTES
This was a project of mechanical upgrades and tonal revision & enlargement. The exist-
ing 1959 console was retained. All of the 1916 Kimball chests were replaced with newly-
built Kilgen-style E-P unit chests, except for the original Kimball chests for the large
wooden Pedal pipes. The retained Kimball chests were re-leathered.

Most of the Kimball pipework was retained – in whole or in part. Other pipework added to
the organ over the years was also retained, and new pipes were added to augment the tonal
design. Some of the pipework was moved to a different division. A new Peterson solid state
combination action and relay replaced old electro-mechanical systems.

The organ is prepared for future additions/deletions/revisions as follows:

Great
Add a 16' Quintaton; add an 8'/4' Trompette unit to replace the borrowed 8'/4' Swell
Trompette.

Swell
Add a IV Mixture 2' [15-19-22-26]; add a 16' Dulzian; add a 12-pipe treble extension to
the 8' Trompette for a full-compass 4' Clairon.

Choir
Add an 8' Rohr Flöte; add an 8' Gemshorn Celeste; Add a II Sesquialtera [12-17]; add a
III Mixture 2' [15-19-22]; install an 8' Cromorne in place of the existing Kimball 8'
Clarinet.

Pedal
Borrow the added Great 16' Quintaton; Borrow the Choir 8' Gemshorn; add a III Mixture 2'
[15-19-22]; add 12 bass pipes to extend the Great 8' Trompette to 16' pitch; Borrow the
added 16' Dulzian; borrow the Great 8'/4' Trompette unit in place of the current Swell
8'/4' Trompette unit; the replacement Choir 8' Cromorne would appear in the Pedal at 4'
pitch as the Clarinet had done.
