2014-02-21 - This entry describes an original installation of a new pipe organ. Identified by William Dunklin, based on personal knowledge of the organ. -- Wurlitzer opus 1733 was a style HNP - Style H was Wurlitzer's largest stock 2-manual design. NP indicates that it was ordered without a piano. The organ was reportedly moved to a private residence in Holland New York.<br>The building itself opened in 1881 as Allen's Opera House. In the 1890's it became Samuel's Opera House. In 1919 it became Shea's Theatre and operated as such until the 1960's. The building still stands and operates as a live theatre venue, extensively remodeled and is now known as the Lucille Ball Little Theatre. -Database Manager
