Notes

2014-02-25 - This entry describes an original installation of a new pipe organ. Identified by William Dunklin, using information found in David Junchen The Wurlitzer Pipe Organ, an Illustrated History, p.663. -- Wurlitzer opus 1370 was Style B Special, 2 manuals, 4 ranks and percussion with a horseshoe console. The 4 ranks were Flute, String, Vox Humana and Open Diapason, the latter being installed rather than a Trumpet which was the 4th rank on a stock Style B. The organ remained in use into the 1970's when it was sold and relocated. Current status of the organ is unknown. The theatre was built as an American Legion hall, but shortly there after was converted to a movie theatre and the name changed to Rialto. A fire in 2003 destroyed the auditorium. -Database Manager
