2014-06-06 - This entry describes an original installation of a new pipe organ. Identified by William Dunklin, using information found in a vintage postcard. -- A postcard mailed in 1913 shows a neo-classical style, 3-flat case, stop knobs in vertical rows on each side of the recessed console. The console appears to have doors to close across the front. The church's website says "The first pipe organ was presented to the church in the year of 1880 by Gardner Nichols." This organ was replaced by an Estey in 1916. Its fate is unknown. -Database Manager
