2025-04-15 - From The Democrat & Chronicle (Rochester, NY, February 16, 1891): "The vestry of St. James Episcopal Church has contracted with Hook & Hastings, of Boston, for a fine two-manual organ which is to be placed in the church in May. The specification was prepared by James E. Bagley, the organist and choir-master of Christ Church and it is as follows ... The instrument is to be placed in an organ-loft in the rear of the church, until the completion of the edifice, when it will be removed to an organ chamber beside the chancel." -Andrew Henderson
