Notes

2014-07-29 - This entry describes an original installation of a new pipe organ. Identified by Scot Huntington, based on personal knowledge of the organ. The instrument was electrified by Tellers-Kent between 1918 and 1930 with no tonal changes, but including modifications to the wind system and installation of a blower. The original and elegant façade pipe decoration is extant. This is the third brick building on the site; the first burned in 1872 and the second in 1878. The church website states the organ was repaired following a major capital fund drive in 1995 for refurbishment of the physical plant. -Database Manager
