2014-08-25 - Altered and relocated existing organ. Identified by Stephen Hall, using information found in Holy Trinity Archives Committee, History of the Organs at Holy Trinity, 2012. -- Brown built the organ for the Atlanta Exhibition of 1895, after the exhibition he sold it to Holy Trinity Episcopal in Gainesville, Florida. It is assumed that he or someone from his shop moved the instrument and installed it in Holy Trinity. When Holy Trinity relocated to its new sanctuary in 1907, the organ was moved again, although there is not a record of who moved the organ the second time. -Database Manager
2014-08-28 - Updated through online information from Stephen Hall. -- The organ case was placed in a shallow chamber on the left side of the chancel. The organ was removed from the church and replaced by Wicks Opus 3071 in 1951. The Brown organ was stored in organist Eleanor Smith's garage for some time afterwards until it was purchased by Robert Noehren. Noehren reused the pipes in some of his instruments, but apparently the chests were not salvaged due to damages of time in a humid environment.
