2014-08-28 - This entry describes an original installation of a new pipe organ. Identified by Scot Huntington, based on personal knowledge of the organ. -- The organ replaced a 1925 Austin Chorophone unit organ of four ranks. The Schlicker unit organ is installed in a freestanding expression box in an alcove created for it in the rear tower, at what would be gallery level, with a functionally exposed façade of both the Principal and Untersatz basses 1-12. The walnut console is at the rear of the nave on the floor below, perpendicular to the instrument with the organist's back to the right side aisle. The basic ranks are Principal 8, Untersatz 16 extension/Rohrfloete 8, Gemshorn 2, Mixture II, Dulzian 16/Krummhorn 8. <br>The stone and brick church in the early gothic style dates from 1826. -Database Manager
