Note: Not extant. Not playable. (in this location)
2014-09-02 - This entry describes an original installation of a new pipe organ. Identified by Scot Huntington, based on personal knowledge of the organ. -- This was a tubular-pneumatic instrument that replaced a two-manual Jardine. It was powered by a water motor. The Odell was given by Mrs. Elizabeth Scriven Potter in memory of her husband, Henry Codman Potter, seventh Bishop of New York, who had retired to Cooperstown. The organ was located in a chancel chamber previously occupied by the Jardine. <br>The organ was electrified by Buhl who added a 4-stop antiphonal which survives in the present organ, and Barlow added a 4-rank Mixture some time in the early 1960s. Either Buhl or Barlow placed the Great Trumpet on a unit chest so it could be extended to 16' pitch and made playable in the Pedal. The Odell organ was sold when it was replaced by the Gilbert Adams organ from Christ Church, Utica. -Database Manager
2020-11-02 - The Gilbert Adams organ was from Grace, not Christ Episcopal Church in Utica. The Antiphonal originally thought to have been added by Buhl is not definitive-- it was added by either Buhl in the 50s or Barlow in the early 1960s. -Scot Huntington
