Notes

2014-09-05 - Altered and relocated existing organ. Identified by T. Daniel Hancock, based on personal knowledge of the organ. -- For installation in the 1950 Sanctuary of the newly organized University Heights Baptist Church, a new console built by Moller was provided. It is not known if Moller carried out the modifications and installation. The 8' Oboe was discarded in exchange for a 4' Principal, and the 8' Vox Humana for a 2-2/3' Nazard. A softer Pedal rank, a Lieblich Gedeckt playing at 16, 8, and 4 in the Pedal, was added; it was built by the Ernest M. Skinner Co., for his Opus 234, of 1915, for the Roberts Park Methodist-Episcopal Church in Indianapolis. No other tonal revisions are known to have been made at this time. The manual divisions are enclosed together in a common expression chamber on the liturgical north side of a English Gothic-revival style Sanctuary Chancel, and both pedal ranks are located on a liturgical south side chamber, and are not expressive. A renovation project has been in progress since February 2012, and the organ is currently unplayable. -Database Manager
