2020-09-29 - Originally installed in the auditorium at Canada Paint & Varnish Company in Toronto in 1958; the organ was meant ‘’to be broadcast at least once a week under the sponsorship of Canada Paint & Varnish Company as Rupert Edwards wants to promote the sale of his products.;’ because the Great was too loud and heavy sounding all the stops were replaced with smaller scales, the pressure of the division was lowered to achieve a lighter tone. Also the Swell 4’ Flute and 4’ Geigen were replaced with smaller scales stops; the organ was moved to First United Church, Port Credit, in Mississauga in 1971; merged with Christ United Church, Mississauga, to become Christ First United Church using both campuses.
