Notes

2004-10-30 - Altered 1953, electrified. Rebuilt Moore 1978, 2-14. -Database Manager

2005-09-04 - On-line update from Michael Loris -- In 1953, the mechanical stop action (only) was replaced by crude electro-pneumatic motors and tilting tablets. There were no tonal changes at that time. In 1970, I built four new mechanical stop actions for the three couplers and Pedal Bourdon 16'. These four electro-pneumatic actions had become almost inoperable. -Database Manager

2013-05-25 - Updated through information in the 2013 OHS Atlas: -- Rebuilt A. David Moore, 1982 -Database Manager

2021-07-09 - The organ is installed in a chamber at the left front of the Akron plan building. The zinc facade is a silver-colored leaf-- perhaps Palladium or white gold. The organ was refurbished by A. David Moore in 1978 with significant tonal changes. The electro-pneumatic stop action from a previous rebuild was removed and was returned to mechanical action in the style of the original. The wood manual flutes were denicked, and the metal diapasons were deslotted and all metal pipes were fitted with tuning slides. The Oboe Gamba was replaced with a nineteenth-century Oboe from stock, the Sw. Salicional was cut-down to become a 2', and the Great Gamba was replaced with a 2' Fifteenth and 2-rank Mixture. -Scot Huntington
