NOTES
This organ was originally built for centella M.E. Chapel in San Jose, CA.
The chapel was a Mission of First M.E. Church. The church was named in honor
of the deceased 8-year old daughter of Mrs. L.C. McColl, a major financial
contributor to the church.

A new Centella edifice was built in 1903, and the organ is presumed to have
been moved here. A decrease in church membership eventually forced the con-
gregation to merge with St. Paul's Methodist Episcopal Church downtown.

The organ is for sale on ebay in November, 2020. The history with the listing
states, "In 1956, Centella Methodist Church merged with another church and the
organ was later moved to a new location. It is unclear during what period of
time the organ was in service at the new location."

It is also unclear whether this "new location" is an unnamed location or St.
Paul's M.E. Church with whom Centella merged. Regardless, the organ was pur-
chased by a physician in 1988 and installed in his home. It was soon there-
after for sale through the Organ Clearing House and relocated to St. Joseph
RC Church in Port St. Joe, Florida by John Huening with partially new casework
- from which it is now for sale on ebay for $5,000.00 or best offer.
