2025-03-20 - Year previously reported as 1904, likely the contract date. from The Tribune | Thu, Jan 04, 1906 ·Page 7 (Scranton, Pennsylvania): "The organ, called the Carnegie for the reason that Andrew Carnegie gave the first thousand dollars, starting the fund with which it was purchased, is of the best Hutchings-Votey type, and is rich and beautiful in tone. The organist; Miss Ruth Hanley, produced some excellent music on it last evening, during the rendering of the programme. The services were started with an organ prelude, followed by doxology responsive reading, led by Rev. Mr. Payne, pastor of the church. Miss Garagan sang an excellent solo, "Praise the Lord 0 My Soul." Then the dedicatory services proper were solemnized' by the minister and the people, in the form of prayer. "Send Out Thy and Thy Truth" was the anthem sung by the double quartet, which was followed by a dedicatory prayer by Clarence Lee, D. D., of Philadelphia, pastor of the Church of Restoration of that city. Mr. Beynon of this city, sang an excellent solo, and the sermon of the evening, delivered by Rev. Frank, Oliver Hall, D." -Paul R. Marchesano
