2014-11-29 - This entry describes an original installation of a new pipe organ. Identified by John Igoe, using information found in Steve Bartley in the October 2014 Issue of the Hilbus Chapter OHS newsletter "Where the Tracker Action Is". -- New organ, 2 man/ped. 17 speaking stops, tubular pneumatic key action, carved walnut case is behind the pulpit, Electric blower, cost $2,500 -Database Manager

2017-08-28 - Updated by Steven Bartley <br> A visit to the church by local organists and organ builder, David Storey, 8/25/2017 revealed an intact organ with a very full and bright tone. After much coaxing the wind and electric was activated and this organ was heard for the first time in many years. The action, originally tubular key/stop consists of a standard Niemann slider chest with a separate pneumatic pull-down action. The two Pedal stops (16 Subbass & 16 Bourdon) are on their own individual chests, with a ventil action as a stop action. Seven stops on GT, Seven on the Swell, two in pedal. The original double rise reservoir has been replaced with two smaller modern units. A Kinetic blower provides wind. The pipe work is in excellent condition. The facade is diapered in green and gold. Over all the organ is closer in sight and tone to one built in the 1880s. The facade wood work has been painted white. Early-mid 20th century Moller electric contact assemblies were fitted to the original attached keydesk, along with a tongue tab name board. The visual scale of the organ seems somewhat small in the room, and the acoustics are very dry, but the overall tone is very fine, and not at all like those typical for 1906. A nearly identical Niemann organ was installed, 2nd hand, in 1929/30 and is still used at Holy Name Catholic Church, NE Washington DC. -Database Manager
