2023-06-19 - **Roosevelt Family Pipe Organ Restoration and Rededication** The Roosevelt Family Pipe Organ was critically damaged during an EF3 tornado in October 2019. The organ was damaged by a combination of winds of up to 165mph and severe water damage. The instrument was then dismantled and sent to be rebuilt by the original builder, Orgues Létourneau Ltée in Quebec. A large portion of the organ’s wooden casework, internal structure, windchests and related components including many of the organ’s wooden pipes were replaced. Additionally, each of the 3,432 original metal organ pipes had to be individually inspected and restored. (St. Mark's School of Texas) During the spring of 2022, the organ was returned to St. Mark's School of Texas. Opus 127B's complete restoration ensued, and was unleashed and rededicated at a service of Choral Evensong.
