2015-02-03 - This entry describes an original installation of a new pipe organ. Identified by John Speller, using information from this web site: http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~njm1/1903-Grace-Church-Parish-Mt-Washington-PA.html. -- The website noted above reproduces a digitalized version of "A History of Grace Church Parish, Mount Washington, Pittsburgh, PA. (Pittsburgh, 1903), which between pp. 8 and 9 has a plate showing the organ which had one manual, 11 registers and a stenciled facade situated in the liturgical north-east corner of the nave. On p. 28 is stated that the organ was built by Barckhoff, set up in October 1881 and first used on Sunday, November 6, 1881. Page 108 states that the instrument cost $700 and gives the stop list. -Database Manager
