2015-02-21 - This entry describes an original installation of a new pipe organ. Identified by Don Hurd, based on personal knowledge of the organ. -- Mathers took over the Koehnken & Grimm company. This large church, and the Hoffner Masonic Lodge had organs by Mathers. (The Lodge organ was removed in the 1980's, blower left behind is still in the attic.) Mathers may have built the organ for Immaculata Church, Mt. Adams, which was removed when the K & G organ from Holy Cross Monastery was located to "Holy Cross-Immaculata Church". Some Mathers (?) pipes & miscellany remain in the de Sales balcony chambers. -Database Manager
