Notes

2015-04-07 - The New Mission Theatre opened in 1916 and was originally designed by the Reid Brothers. In 1932, the Nasser Brothers commissioned designer Timothy Pflueger to transform the theatre into an Art Deco style wonderland. The New Mission has a 70-foot vertical sign that is a local landmark. After closing, the building was used as a furniture store for many years. In 2012, plans were announced for the conversion of the theatre into a five-auditorium cinema, with reopening in 2015. -Database Manager
