2016-06-12 - Updated through online information from Thomas L. DeLay.
Organ was removed from the Parkside Theatre in 1938 by the E.C.Howe Company to the First United Presbyterian Church in Salinas, CA. In 1950 it was moved to the new sanctuary. In 1989 the organ was sold to Thomas L. DeLay and installed in the State Theatre in Monterey, CA.

When the organ was in the second church location, the Schoenstein firm added an 8' Rohr Flute, and Dolce and Dolce Celeste to the Main (Left) Chamber. They also added a Gottfried French Horn and and Aeoline to the Solo Chamber. When the organ was installed in the Monterey State Theatre 1992-1995, the added Schoenstein sets were replaced by all Wurlitzer pipework on Wurlitzer chests. All the percussions were reinstalled and a 49n Marimba/Harp was added.

The added ranks are a Flute Celeste 8tc-4 and Oboe Horn in the Main. The Oboe Horn is from the dismantled 1921 style 285 Wurlitzer that was once in the Los Angeles Metropolitan/Paramount Theatre. Both sets were added to the Main (left) Chamber. The original Wurlitzer Chrysoglott was high-graded to a vibraphone from the J. J. Murdock Residence organ style R-16sp from Beverly Hills, CA. The Solo Chamber saw the addition of an 8' Kinura, Orchestral Oboe, and English (post) Horn.

The Kinura is from opus 585 Shea's Hippodrome Theatre Buffalo, NY. It is not known where the Orchestral Oboe is from. The English (post) Horn is new Moller from 1975. With the exception of the original set of 25n Chimes, all the percussions are from the J. J. Murdock organ mentioned earlier. The added 3-rank chest to the Solo Chamber came from a 1928 style 109 from the State Theatre Brooklyn, NY. The 2 chests added to the Main chamber came from unknown locations.
