2015-05-01 - The Orpheum Theatre opened on 16 Oct 1921 as a vaudeville house. It changed to movies in 1927 and the name was changed to RKO Orpheum Theatre. The Orpheum ceased showing movies in the mid-1970s and has been a legitimate theatre since then. -Database Manager
