2015-06-10 - Information from Encyclopedia of the American Theatre Organ, Vol. II by David L. Junchen.
Originally built in 1928 for Capitol Theatre, Marshalltown, Iowa. Later moved to KMTR Radio, Los Angeles, Calif., then to KTLA Radio, Los Angeles. -Database Manager

2015-11-29 - Updated through online information from Jim Lewis. -- This organ was not moved to "KTLA Radio", as KTLA was strictly a television station, the first commercial television station west of the Mississippi. Organist Buddy Cole purchased the KMTR organ for his home studio in North Hollywood, CA, c.1947. He later combined the instrument with the Los Angeles United Artists Theatre Wurlitzer that he also purchased for his studio. KMTR stood for its owner, K.M. Turner. -Database Manager
