2015-06-24 - This entry describes an original installation of a new pipe organ. Identified by Edward L. Stauff, using information found in William H. Barnes, "The Contemporary American Organ", 9th ed., 1971; pp.328-329. -Database Manager

2019-02-11 - Updated by Carl S Zimmerman, naming this as the source of information: Charles McManis\' autobiography, cited in full on OHS Website, pp.319-322. <br> <br>McManis\' original work was designed by McManis and Jerome Meachen, and approved by consultant Parvin Titus. It incorporated some parts from a previous Hook & Hastings organ (Op.504, 1873). The main organ suffered major damage in 1989 when a tornado knocked a stone pinnacle off the tower to fall through the nave roof into the gallery. McManis rebuilt the organ, altering the stoplist slightly from the original (which is shown below).
