Notes

2015-07-16 - This organ was originally built in 1959 for the Franciscan Seminary of Theology in Teutopolis, Ill. In 1969 the seminary was transferred to St. Pascal-s Friary in Oakbrook, Ill., and the organ was purchased (for $8,000) by St. Jude Catholic Church, New Lenox, Ill. Wicks was contracted to move and rebuild the organ (for $5,364). In 2001 the organ was returned to the Wicks Shop for refurbishment and upgrading while a new church building was constructed. Added components were a transposer, 32 memory level, MIDI, MIDI Sequencer Control, Maple Wood Swell Box and Façade, Computerized Swell Box Control. The 2-manual console and matching organ bench were cleaned and brought back to their original beauty and the exposed metal pipes, originally black in color, were made a beautiful silver, capped with brass tuning covers. The organ was rededicated on April 3, 2003. -Database Manager
