2007-05-03 - Updated through online information from Anthony Meloni. -- This organ had been in its original location until 2003, when the congregation decided to purchase a new 18 stop organ by Rudolf von Beckerath. Anthony Meloni, the US Representative for von Beckerath, was given the Odell organ in exchange for constructing the new platform on which the von Beckerath now sits in the gallery. The Odell is in storage in Port Chester, New York, and is for sale in restored condition. When the organ was removed, it was found to be in excellent condition. However, it is in need of complete restoration. The Pedal operates by coupling either of the manuals down. The Great division does have a 12 note stop called "SubBass", which contains the bottom 12 notes of a 16' Bourdon. A full compass (25 note) Pedal Bourdon 16' will likely be added upon the sale of this organ. The case is made of chestnut. This organ can be seen at www.meloniandfarrier.com under "Organs for Sale". -Database Manager
