2015-08-10 - An original installation. Identified by John Igoe, using information found in Johnson Organs, 1844-1898: Wm. A Johnson, Johnson Organ Co., Johnson & Son: a documentary issued in honor the two hundredth anniversary of his birth, 1816-2016 / by Scot L. Huntington, Len Levasseur, Barbara Owen, Stephen L. 2024-04-26 - Johnson Organs, 1844–1898, 96: Dedicated on 27 Oct. 1874; the nameplate reads Op. 429. Existed intact in 1958; subsequently moved to the residence of Robert A. Lehmann, New Marlboro, Mass., and electrified. The organ was returned to Lime Rock in 1982 (after the electronic substitute which supplanted it failed) and installed by Gordon Auchincloss. It was again replaced by another electronic imitation, and was removed in 2001 by Czelusniak et Dugal. Currently in storage and for sale, but in need of restoration. The casework and front pipes retain original decoration. [No source is cited for this information.
