2015-09-13 - This entry describes an original installation of a new pipe organ. Identified by Michael Williamson, based on personal knowledge of the organ.<br> <br> Organ assembled from various components. Console was the 4 manual console from the Welte organ at the Barker Brothers store Los Angeles, California. Pipework from a variety of builders; mostly Aeolian-Skinner (as Simonton was an investor in Aeolian-Skinner).<br><br>All of the main windchests were built by Ross Kershaw (Aeolian-Skinner chest maker), and the offset windchests were built by Pipe Organs, Inc., of Los Angeles.<br><br>The installation was also assumed to have been done by Pipe Organs, Inc. as well (Simonton had also invested in them). The organ also contained a 14-stop echo of electronic voices, and 5 electronic voices in the pedal (including a 32- Bourdon through a 30" Electro-Voice sub-woofer bolted to the floor joists). Organ was sold after his death, and removed from his home. -Database Manager
