2015-09-13 - This entry describes an original installation of a new pipe organ. Identified by William Dunklin, using information from this web site:<br>https://books.google.com/books?id=KILTAAAAMAAJ&pg=PA30&source=gbs_toc_r&cad=4#v=onepage&q&f=false. -- The book History of Emmanuel's Evangelical Lutheran Church mentions the organ in the chapter on bequests, saying that in 1897 the church was remodeled to make a recess for the altar and a room for the organ. Additions and moving the organ cost $250. This implies the organ already existed. A photograph in the book matches a vintage postcard labeled Lutheran Church Germantown Ohio. Both show a very modest, polychromed pipe-fence facade on the organ at the front right. As of 2015 the building is still in use by the same congregation. Fate of the organ is unknown. -Database Manager
