Notes

2015-10-13 - Altered and relocated existing organ. Identified by Eric Schmiedeberg, based on personal knowledge of the organ.

This instrument was originally installed in the Seaside (Strand) Theatre in Seaside, OR. The organ at its present location speaks through a grille in the floor from the basement into the dining area. It is unknown whether the more theatrical elements of the organ have been restored to the specification or not.

At the time I viewed the organ in ca. 2007 it was still very much "churchified" in that there were no traps or effects and no tuned percussions, except for the Chimes and Chrysoglott, Most likely, B&V added the Chrysoglott to the specification when they modified the organ for installation in the funeral chapel back in '32. These were not typically found on Morton theatre instruments of four ranks. -Database Manager
