Notes

2015-12-13 - An original installation. Identified by Steve Bartley, using information found in Sun Paper 2/11/1887 pg 4; 25th Anniversary book. This large and elaborate Gothic building was erected in 1885. By 1959 the congregation had disbanded and the Baltimore Presbytery was not interested in it, except that McDonald's wanted to build one of their fast food franchises on the spot. The building was demolished in 1959. Fate of the organ unknown. For such an impressive building and important congregation, there was hardly a paragraph in the local Sun paper. The church's anniversary book said only that Jardine was the maker, it had a water motor and the entire project cost $3,000. Photos of the building and organ exist. -Database Manager
