Notes

2015-12-19 - The organ was donated in memory of Edwin Wiley Grove by his widow just days before her own death; Dr. Grove, a nationally known originator of two immensely successful patent medicines, was a 'silent' philanthropist endowing many charitable, education and religious causes; in 1897 he built a summer home in Asheville, North Carolina, and was responsible for considerable real estate development in that city that included his own Grove Park Inn, an elegant hotel, conference and golf complex that is still one of the finest resorts in the southeastern United States. -Database Manager

2022-04-03 - Merged in 1953 with First Associate Reformed Church to become Trinity Presbyterian Church, University City. The Kingshighway building eventually became Wayman AME Church. -Jeff Scofield
